Arthur Ashe Would Have Been Proud

Posted by myideas1 on July 24th, 2008

donaldyoungtennis.jpg With Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day just around the bend, I can’t help but think of how proud the late great American tennis star would have been to see some of the new faces in tennis…like Atlanta’s Donald Young.

My husband has loved this game since he was twelve years old, and Arthur Ashe was, and continues to be his hero.

You see, not only was Arthur a tennis star, but he was also a conscience leader, humanitarian, and educator. One blog in particular, which keeps Arthur’s spirit alive, is blacktennispros.com.

You should bounce on over to my fellow Entrecard member’s site and see what you’ve been missing. Don’t forget to say hello to Shelia, who enjoys serving up hot news in tennis, with LOVE!

Thanks for putting this out there! I love Shelia’s site each time I visit. I think I will go there now! Great job by the way on giving up the dairy-so hard, but you will reap the rewards (plus the cows thank you too!)

I haven’t thought of Arthur Ashe in years.  I used to love watching him play on TV.  He was a wonderful role model!

Thanks for stopping by She Lives!
