I would also say for anyone trying to cut corners, don't do it on the rugs. Even if your rugs are in good condition and you want to just steam it before the sale, I recommend pulling it up if you had pets. People with severe allergies still have reactions even if the rug was cleaned because a lot of the steamers & cleaners just push the animal hair/dander toward the floor, but when you vacuum, it comes back up to the surface. Not fun when you have severe allergies or children with allergies who like to play on the floor. Wonderful tips on the animals.
