Hello and Happy Holidays To You, I’d like to submit the Winning Answer
A. The woman was Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of then-U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
B. Mrs Roosevelt convinced her husband to authorize military flight training at Tuskegee Institute.
Tuskegee University was awarded the First U.S. Army Air Corps contract to help train America’s First Black Military Aviators. Tuskegee had already invested in the development of an airfield, had a proven civilian pilot training program and its graduates performed highest on flight aptitude exams.
I am a proud supporter of the Michigan Branch of the Tuskegee Airmen; based at Fort Wayne, in Detroit, MI.
Thank You For Promoting Black History.

I loved participating in your giveaway last week. It was fun. I love that you are highlighting the Tuskegee Airmen. I read an article recently about the surviving members and members of the Little Rock Nine being invited to the Inauguration. What a wonderful full circle moment that will be! Thanks for highlighting these great men.
Have a Happy and Blessed 2009!
