Doug Bates is the owner of CMIT Solutions of Fayette and Coweta Counties. He spent the first 24 years of his career working with world-class organizations such as GE, TYCO International, and Lego Toys, identifying and providing solutions for customers on a domestic and global scale.
He spent most of his time traveling, which took quality time away from his wife and kids. He is now happy to be at the next phase of his career and gets great satisfaction out of preparing breakfast for his kids each morning.

This career offers:
Employment of diagnostic medical sonographers is expected to increase 21 to 35 percebt through 2012 as the population grows and ages. Sonographers should experience favorable job opportunities, as sonography becomes an increasingly attractive alternative to radiologic procedures.
Sonographers work in hospitals, imaging centers, doctors’ offices, mobile units and schools. They work full-time, or PRN (as needed). They can travel throughout the United States, providing
short-term ultrasound services.
In 2002, the highest 10 percent earned more than $66,680.00. Today, that percent and number have both climbed even higher.
Sonographers provide compassionate care to their patients and information to assist the physician in diagnosing and recommending potentially life-saving treatments.
