Your Aging Parent’s Health Record Organizing System©

Posted by myideas1 on 17th February 2009

Your Aging Parent's Health Record Organizing System was created by Frenesa K. Hall, MD, a practicing primary care physician who was frustrated by the difficulty in taking care of elderly patients whose adult children were involved in their care. The adult children often didn't know what happened at the visit their sibling attended, didn't know what the new medications were.

Dr. Hall was unable to treat the patient without sending for results from the other physician or having the adult child call their other sibling to get details. All of this wasted valuable time and energy which should have been directed at caring for the patient and had the potential for disaster.

I recently used Your Aging Parent's Health Record Organizing System© to help organize and manage my in-laws' medical care from another state. I understand how difficult it is to stay on top of the medications and appointments.

Your Aging Parent's Health Record Organizing System© not only organizes all medical information in one easy-to-navigate notebook; it also has a proprietary method to ensure that each visit to every doctor addresses all of the medical needs of the patient thoroughly.

Dr. Hall attended Harvard University, graduating with a BA concentrating in biology. Her medical education began at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill medical school and was completed with an internal medicine residency at Franklin Square Hospital Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Hall practiced in a conventional office setting in Lawrenceville, GA for nine years before starting her house call practice, Mobile-Medicine.Net 678-623-3038 in 2003.

Combined with her primary care practice, Dr. Hall has incorporated nutrition, both testing and using diet and supplements as a medical intervention, into her practice. Dr. Hall insists...

"The body requires adequate amounts of all nutrients (vitamins, minerals, cofactors, proteins, carbohydrates and essential fats) in order for the body, down to each cell and each system, to function properly. This includes the immune system, healing and repair as well as brain and other organ functions. If we give the body the nutrients it needs, amazing things can happen."

Dr. Frenesa K. Hall is a consultant for one of the premier nutritional testing labs, Metametrix Clinical Lab in Duluth, Georgia.

Dr. Gloria Campbell D’Hue: Destined For Greatness

Posted by myideas1 on 17th December 2008

Dr. Gloria Campbell D’Hue, affectionately known as Atlanta’s Dermatologist to the Stars, was nurtured in a warm, loving and spiritual environment where education and entrepreneurship were constantly encouraged. From the time she was three years old, she wanted to become a doctor.

After graduating from Morris Brown College in Atlanta, she began medical school in San Francisco. Unfortunately, her education was cut short because her mother became ill with breast cancer. After one year of medical school, she went back home, making her mother her primary concern.

After her mom passed away, she was left in charge of raising her sisters. Taking odd jobs, and at one time making only .75 cents an hour, she managed the best way she could to make ends meet.

Though it was difficult, Dr. D’Hue persevered, never giving up on her goal of becoming a physician. After being out of school for two years, she pressed on, eventually becoming the second African American woman to be accepted into Emory University School of Medicine. In addition, she was the first female African American dermatologist in the state of Georgia.

Dr. D'Hue has been 'taking care of the skin you're in' for 25 years.

Listen and be inspired by her commitment to excellence and perseverance, not to mention her warm personality, which have all earned Dr. Gloria Campbell D’Hue a place in our hearts and a place in Atlanta’s History Center!

Frustrated with the direction quality patient care was headed, instead of complaining, Dr. Hall decided to do something about it and thus her company was born.

Mobile-Medicine.Net was developed to bring back true convenience and quality health care to the patient. Participating physicians are able to rekindle their original spark for providing thorough and effective medical care without sacrificing the financial rewards commensurate with the responsibilities they accept.

After obtaining her undergraduate degree in Biology at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Dr. Hall earned her medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. While at medical school, Dr. Hall became increasingly interested in ways to improve patient wellness programs including the use of alternative therapies when appropriate. She completed both her internship and residency in Baltimore, Maryland at the Franklin Square Hospital Center.

In 1992, Dr. Hall relocated to the Atlanta area where she established a highly successful private primary care practice. Additionally, she co-founded Health Balance, one of the first alternative medicine facilities in Lawrenceville, Georgia. After more than 10 years of service to the Lawrenceville communities, Dr. Hall sold her practice in order to pursue her passion for improving the health care environment for both patients and physicians.

Staying Young In The 21st Century

Posted by myideas1 on 23rd August 2008

Genetically, a person who comes from a family where most have lived to old age is also likely to enjoy longevity. This genetic heritage can also determine the aspects of good health such as a healthy heart, healthy brain, good circulation, good eyesight and hearing.

Even people who do not come from a heritage of longevity can live to old age if they look after themselves and avoid the risk factors that cause poor physical and mental health, thus accelerating the aging process. Following a healthy diet, regular exercise, drinking in moderation, cutting out smoking, and following safe practices can all help to increase potential life span.

As we age, there are certain processes which cannot be avoided. This is particularly so of cell aging. As our body cells age, we are more likely to contract certain conditions because of the decline in strength and resistance to infection. Our bodies also begin to show signs of ‘wear and tear'. The skin loses its elasticity, thus resulting in the wrinkling we associate with old age.

As our body's cells wear out, they are replaced by a process of cell division. The only cells which don't replicate are those in the brain which cease to divide after birth.

It has been a philosophy that if you look after your body, particularly your body cells, then anti-aging should be smooth sailing. How? By nutrition - a balanced diet with associated exercise. The right and optimum balance of antioxidants and minerals daily is a great start.

Anti-aging health shouldn't be something you decide is a good idea when it's too late. Your body cells are constantly bombarded by those little attack armies called free radicals and if left unchecked, without the daily optimum replenishment of antioxidants and minerals, over time, they will kick-start a degeneration process that more often than not, can't be reversed.

The good news is that this process usually occurs over an extended period of time. Antioxidants, like little body commandos, will seek out these free radicals and neutralize them. But, you need to keep them coming on a daily basis.

Healthy body cells means you are one step ahead of the anti-aging health game. So set the pace, and make sure you don't slip back and become another aging statistic.

The Power Of Positive Eating And Positive Living

Posted by myideas1 on 31st July 2008

Though there are many anti-aging products in the market today, it is easy to ease the effects of aging by following a healthy diet of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Smoking should be refrained from and alcohol consumption should be maintained to moderation. Staying away from desserts and packaged foods help in slowing the aging process.

Some of the most worthwhile anti-aging products available in the market today are well-manufactured antioxidants and dietary supplements. These products provide the body with its required nutrients every day. They help in detoxifying the body, improves the immunity system of the body, strengthens the muscles and tissues of the body, helps to control stress, improves memory, improves the skin and circulatory systems and supports cardiovascular, neurological and eye functions. Anti-aging relates to both outside physical appearance and internal appearance.

Aging is a natural process of the body where nothing can be done much about stopping it. However today, there are many anti-aging products and nutrients, which a person can use so that it is possible to slow down the aging process. Regular ingestion of these products leads to a considerable slowing down of the internal aging process and taking good care of your skin, hair and body with products and routines that have been shown to reverse the signs of aging can also contribute to your outward “anti-aging”.

The goal to aging should be a positive outlook, a clear understanding of all of the biological processes and to remain active. You should only look as old as you feel.
